However, the biggest problem with the 2020 &#8220;pandemic&#8221; is not the virus itself, but the economic disaster that&#8217;s left in its trail, and, if you&#8217;re living the United States, the lack of reaction from the same &#8220;authorities&#8221; to the BLM\/Antifa riots.<\/p>\n<p>Today we discovered a shocking video recently recorded by an unknown &#8220;hero&#8221; depicting a post apocalyptic Manhattan , a drive tour of sorts that shows stores all boarded up and ghost town streets in one of the world&#8217;s largest cities.<\/p>\n<p>New York&#8217;s famous shopping area is now looking pretty much like a post Soviet demilitarized zone. Everything\u2019s boarded up. Even the hotel. Boarded up. This is all Manhattan, boarded up. Have you ever seen Manhattan look like this? The media will not report this. Everything boarded up. They don\u2019t want to show this to you people because they\u2019re afraid. Saks 5th Avenue \u2013 boarded up from end to end. They put up barbed wire. Everywhere you see boards, windows are gone. Look at New York City \u2013 what happened,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>As per a Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fox5ny.com\/news\/nyc-relocations-accelerating-at-substantial-pace-local-movers-say\">affiliate<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>According to the most recent data from United Van Lines, between May and July, there was a 95 percent year over year increase in interest in moving out of Manhattan. That compares with a 19 percent increase in moving interest in the U.S., overall.<\/p>\n<p>The top destinations for people who moved out of New York City between March and August were Florida and California \u2013 which together comprised 28 percent of relocations. Texas and North Carolina made up 16 percent of moves.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Things are pretty much the same in Los Angeles and Chicago, and you can watch Joe Rogan&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=h9XzuUXj6Gc\">show<\/a> from last week when he tells Tim Dillon that he drove personally down Melrose and &#8220;admired&#8221; the new homeless camps, needles everywhere across the street from five million dollar houses, and the boarded up\/burned up buildings.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s interesting you can&#8217;t find an August 2020 video of downtown LA on the internet right now, but according to the Daily Mail, Los Angeles is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-8631063\/Hollywood-Apocalypse-rich-famous-fleeing-droves.html\">\u201ca city on the brink<\/a> :<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Today, Los Angeles is a city on the brink. \u2018For Sale\u2019 signs are seemingly dotted on every suburban street as the middle classes, particularly those with families, flee for the safer suburbs, with many choosing to leave LA altogether.<\/p>\n<p>British-born Danny O\u2019Brien runs Watford Moving &amp; Storage. \u2018There is a mass exodus from Hollywood,\u2019 he says.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>California is currently harboring almost <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marketwatch.com\/story\/this-state-is-home-to-nearly-half-of-all-people-living-on-the-streets-in-the-us-2019-09-18\">half<\/a> of the US homeless population, and most of them are addicted to drugs; needless to say that this situation has created a nightmarish environment for the city dwellers:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Junkies and the homeless, many of whom are clearly mentally ill, walk the palm-lined streets like zombies \u2013 all just three blocks from multi-million-dollar homes overlooking the Pacific.<\/p>\n<p>Stolen bicycles are piled high on pavements littered with broken syringes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The latest move of California&#8217;s state legislature which looks to impose a new tax on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.zerohedge.com\/markets\/california-set-pass-nations-first-wealth-tax-targeting-ultra-rich\">wealthy<\/a> doesn&#8217;t help with the exodus:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Fast forward to today when the ultra-liberal state of California is now ready to take this \u201csocialist\u201d idea from concept to the implementation phase, with the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sfchronicle.com\/business\/networth\/article\/California-lawmakers-propose-a-15482011.php\">SF Chronicle\u00a0<\/a>reporting that a group of CA state lawmakers on Thursday proposed a\u00a0<strong>first-in-the-nation state wealth tax that would hit about 30,400 California residents and raise an estimated $7.5 billion for the general fund.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The proposed tax rate would be 0.4% of net worth (most likely ended up far higher), excluding directly held real estate, that exceeds $30 million for single and joint filers and $15 million for married filing separately.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Covid-19 health crisis is still far from over, at least if we&#8217;re taking a clue from what the authorities are telling us.
