The government has issued a curfew along with stay and work in home orders. Due to these circumstances, protests against the lockdown have become quite frequent in the city.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday local media reported that a large number of demonstrators came up to protest at the central business district. The police came to halt this protest on a horseback.<\/p>\n<p>However, Victorian state Premier Daniel Andrews appreciated the state\u2019s effort towards exercising strict lockdown while talking about the spiking cases in Europe.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, he was criticized for exercising strict restrictions against the virus. He explained how countries have been struggling and made huge sacrifices. But it feels miserable to witness more rise in cases in the second wave as compared to the first one. Although European data reports less death, the situation is completely adverse.<\/p>\n<p>As the situation is progressing towards the positive side capital of the country, Melbourne might ease the strict restrictions soon. The government is planning to remove the curfew and place few limits from October 26 onwards.
