However, in richer countries, people showed no real interest in the growing concern.<\/p>\n<p>Although the world is still struggling against COVID 19 and most importantly in an economic context. A poll carried out by Globescan showed people around the world were found to be more concerned regarding climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Almost \u00a090% of respondents claimed climate change as one of the most serious issues.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014 when the same poll was done with people from the United States only 60% believed that this is a serious problem. While the figure was more than 70% in Kenya, Argentina, Mexico.<\/p>\n<p>People were also asked who is most likely to suffer from the effects of climate change in which 60% of respondents from South Africa, Brazil, and Kenya said the poor community. However, in Japan, the USA, and Australia less than 40% agreed with the same question.<\/p>\n<p>Such diverse responses of these people might be due to their personal experience with climate change. This can be explained by the fact that in the UK only 13% claimed that they were affected personally due to climate change. While 34% of the same respondents suffered because of the ongoing pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>In an interview, Eric Wuhan from Globescan said that this situation reminds of the hurricane Katrina. Currently, we are in the same situation and more vulnerable than ever.<\/p>\n<p>This poll was executed through the internet. Around 1000 adults from 27 countries were a part of it.
