At the time, India was the 2<sup>nd<\/sup> fastest growing bike market in the world just behind China.<\/p>\n<p>But due to the higher import duties and sales taxes doing business was difficult in India. U.S President Donald Trump made repeated criticism as a result of the situation. Hence, the Indian Commerce Ministry kept the bike company out from the tariff list which included 29 goods on the American products in recent times.<\/p>\n<p>Harley-Davidson, on the other hand, wants to explore the American, European, and other Asia-Pacific countries instead of India, according to the report.<\/p>\n<p>CEO Jochen Zeitz said, \u201cA total rewire is necessary to make Harley-Davidson a high-performance company.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The motorcycle manufacturer was already having difficult times after the Coronavirus pandemic. They want to improve the sales performance and started talking about a possible distribution deal with Hero MotoCorp in India.<\/p>\n<p>The news, however, will be a bad one for the Prime Minister of India.
