Bill Gates, one of the richest persons in the world sees the future in a Korean Vaccine. A South Korean pharmaceutical company called SK Bioscience is expecting to market 200 million vaccines by next June.
Mr. Gates thinks this could be good news for the world anticipating a vaccine as early as possible to save millions of lives. So the U.S billionaire has the intention to work closely with the Korean firm and fight the virus with strong hands.
Surprisingly, Bill Gates warned the world about a possible virus attack well before the COVID-19 situation escalated in Wuhan, China this year. He predicted a future pandemic in TED talk 2015 similar to the 1918 Spanish flu.
Bill Gates also alarmed the U.S and other countries for lacking the necessary preparations. He stressed on novel viruses with the potential of killing millions and urged that we are not ready for this. In his words, “If anything kills over 10 million people in the next few decades, it’s most likely to be a highly infectious virus rather than a war,”
It really could then exponentially drop the numbers, but we need that for the entire world if we’re going to go back and have people taking vacations, international students, international sports events. Why does Bill Gates see a promise in the Korean Vaccine?
Since the global spread of Coronavirus in 2020, many organizations started clinical trials of a possible Coronavirus vaccine. Some of the firms also claimed promising responses from the trials.
In the current situation, it is impossible to say who will win the vaccine race but Mr. Gates has an interest in the organization which has the capability of spreading the vaccine across the world. He wants to ensure that no region will be left behind from getting the vaccine on time.
Already there is news of large orders of the upcoming vaccines by the U.S and the U.K. But to eradicate the virus from this planet we need to spread the cure in every corner possible.
$3.6 million to the Vaccine Race
Bill Gates and his foundation will provide $3.6 million to the Korean organization for the cause. He already donated $45.5 billion for charitable causes. His wife Melinda Gates also has the same kind of interest in serving humanity and founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation along with Mr. Gates.
