The tech community comes abuzz again at the start of the year for the much-awaited CES 2023 in Las Vegas this week.
Despite some snags in the past year’s display of the latest gadgets and technology due to supply chain issues and the pandemic, the CES 2023 has now fully recovered drawing huge audiences and technophiles worldwide.
As the world’s most influential tech event, the CES is back in Las Vegas on Jan. 5 to 8 with organizers promising a show footprint that is 70 percent larger than last year, the organizer’s statement said.
The tech event also has a theme for the first time: how technology is addressing the world’s biggest challenges. His comes timely as the tech world becomes challenged by many issues including supply chain and geopolitical tension.
The event organizer, the Consumer Technology Association, in partnership with the United Nations Trust Fund for Human Security, will support the global campaign Human Security for All (HS4A) with an area exclusively dedicated to the HS4A campaign to cultivate collaboration and innovation across all industries, all countries, to improve the human experience.
“CES is the world’s most exciting technology event, from startups in Eureka Park to global brands on the main stages. We are thrilled to spotlight thousands of innovative companies at this year’s show,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO, CTA.
“Tech advances are helping to solve the world’s greatest challenges, and CES 2023 will set the agenda for the year ahead,” Shapiro said.
The tech industry’s most influential brands like Canon, Google, Hisense, Intel, LG Electronics, Nikon, Samsung, TCL, and Voxx are some of the biggest names in tech that will be participating this year.
Some of the most awaited showcases this year come from Automotive and Mobility making it one of the largest auto shows in the world with nearly 300 exhibitors. Global launches and keynotes from BMW and Stellantis will also lead into exhibits featuring the latest in self-driving tech, electric vehicles, and personal mobility devices for land, air, and sea.
Another exciting exhibit is on Digital Health with top brands showing how rapidly this market is growing. Organizers said the exhibit will showcase advancements in digital therapeutics, mental wellness, women’s health tech, and telemedicine. CTA’s Digital Health Studio, presented by The American College of Emergency Physicians, will feature the latest in technology for diagnostic and treatment functions and highlight the importance of remote connectivity for accessible healthcare.
When it comes to areas like Sustainability, global brands like John Deere, LG, Samsung and Siemens will show how innovation can conserve energy and increase power generation, create more sustainable agricultural systems, power smart cities, and support access to clean water.
Probably among the most exciting features of this year’s CES is the showcase of what’s the latest in Web3 and Metaverse. For the first time, CES 2023 will have a dedicated Metaverse area on the show floor. Exhibitors will showcase groundbreaking sensory technology building immersive, interactive digital worlds including a Web3 studio.
