The Trump administration has been charged with claims of siphoning almost $4m from a program that is serving to New York firefighters and medics suffering from 9/11 related casualties.

Reports state the treasury department halted payments to the program around four years ago and even today the cause remains unknown.

National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health performed the task of sanctioning all the payments to the plan but during these events, the treasury started keeping money with itself.

According to the program’s director and FDNY’s chief medical officer, Dr. David Prezant that nor a legal statement has been issued neither authorities have been apprised as to why all the payments have stopped to the program.

Half a million dollars went missing during the years 2016-2017 and later these figures went up to six lakh and thirty million in the year 2018. While in august 2020 a hefty amount of $1.44 million went missing.

Authorities are already facing crucial times financially due to COVID 19 and since there is no aid coming for the program unfortunately sick workers and firefighters are not being medically treated the way they should be.

Representatives strongly believe that funds need to be remunerated no matter what are the details behind. Survivor cops and firemen are the true heroes of America and not helping them out in their dire needs is not acceptable.

To date, the stopping of aid to the FDNY program remains untold and needs to be compensated at all costs.

After no response from the treasury secretary, Steve Mnuchin representatives are pouring their efforts into bringing the issue to the vice president at  Friday’s 9/11 commemoration in New York.

Even the fire association claims that stopping of funds in utterly unjustified for the ones who did so much for the nation.

Many programs are dedicated to the cause of serving those real heroes but the current lack of remuneration for the FYDY program might result in lesser services for other similar programs especially for the staff and patients associated with them.
