Social media giant Facebook will mark users who have been vaccinated against Covid-19:

“We will present in your feed a compilation of friends, family or people you follow and who have added filters related to the vaccination of Covid-19” reads an official statement.

It looks like the vaccination campaign has moved to Facebook! The social media platform will mark users who have been vaccinated against Covid, by implementing a filter for profile photography, thus hoping to convince as many people as possible to go for vaccination.

Filters are planned, both for those who support the vaccination campaign and for those who have already been vaccinated. “In the coming weeks, we will be presenting in your feed a compilation of friends, family or people you are following and who have added filters related to the Covid-19 vaccination,” Facebook announced.

After creating – in the United States – a tool that helps users find vaccination centers around the home, the platform announces the implementation of filters for profile photography. Two versions are planned: the first for those who support the vaccination campaign, the second for those who have already been vaccinated.

According to studies, such an experiment could convince a large percentage of the population to get vaccinated, especially when they see that people close to them have been inoculated. Also in this direction, the United Kingdom has launched a campaign through which a quarter of social network users have already used such a filter in profile photography.
